PESC Information Systems College was established in 2003 as a private limited company in the city of Addis Ababa by developing distance education programs that focused on Information Systems and Technology through the adoption of new way of learning in the country using virtual education system.

In September 2004, PESC Information Systems College has officially launched its degree program in Information Systems and pioneered virtual education in information Systems in Ethiopia. The College has gained pre-accreditation in the same year from the Ministry of Education of the Federal Government of Ethiopia for this 4-year Bachelor of Science Degree program.

PESC Information Systems College also began to offer programs in the fields of Information Technology, Accounting, Marketing and Salesmanship, and Secretarial science and office management leading to Certificate level I (10+1), Certificate level II (10+2) and Diploma (10+3) lasing 1,2 and 3 years respectively. All these programs are based on the curriculum of Technical Education and Vocational Training (TVET) and accredited by different regional educational bureaus.

Currently, the College has one central campus located at Hayahulet Mazoriya in Addis Ababa and 6 branch satellite campuses situated in different regions of the country i.e. Jijiga, Tigray, Harer, Assela, Dessie and Addis Ababa at Wolosefer. Each center has adequate number of computers that are fully networked for the purpose of students' use as computer Labs.

All programs offered by the College operate under Department of Information Science, and a TVET program Unit having 4 departments: Information Technology Department, Accounting Department, Department of Marketing and Salesmanship, and Department of Secretarial Science and Office management.

The College has also a Networking and Technical unit consisting of IT technicians and professional cameramen who are fully responsible for the technical aspects of teaching material development by the College and the proper delivery of the material to each campus as well as to students' through computer networking. The overall activities of the branch campuses are coordinated and directed by an Outstation Management unit.
